Automatic Reservoir Rainfall and Water Level Monitoring System Upgrade Project,Chengdu Longquanyi District
Project Background
To meet provincial and municipal smart water management and Smart Rongcheng construction requirements, 18 reservoirs in Longquanyi District require standardized data collection and unified platform access. Aged on-site monitoring equipment and traditional telemetry terminals cannot support multi-platform simultaneous data transmission, causing unstable data acquisition and inaccurate water regime monitoring. The system upgrade is essential to ensure reliable reservoir flood prevention and real-time safety monitoring.
Solution Deployed
This project upgrades monitoring facilities for 18 reservoirs (6 small Type-I and 12 small Type-II reservoirs) in Longquanyi District. It replaces outdated hardware and deploys Foursine IoT telemetry terminals, radar water level gauges, tipping-bucket rain gauges and bubble water level gauges. The upgraded telemetry devices support multi-platform simultaneous data uploading. New spillway cameras and dam stainless steel water gauges are installed to enrich on-site monitoring. All real-time data are synchronously transmitted to four provincial, municipal and district-level platforms with professional hardware and technical support provided by Foursine.
Key Results
The system upgrade realizes standardized, stable and accurate automatic rainfall and water level monitoring for regional reservoirs. It resolves traditional equipment defects including data interruption and measurement deviation, improves comprehensive reservoir safety monitoring capabilities, and supports scientific decision-making for flood prevention and disaster mitigation. The project effectively promotes intelligent water resource management and unified government data integration.
